Annika Weissferdt thymic lesions

Case 1

22 F presents with signs and symptoms of myasthenia gravis. CT chest reveals a symmetric and normal-appearing thymus for age. One small area of low attenuation is noted. DD small thymoma vs normal gradual involution during aging.

Case 4

53 F smoker  with COPD and history of anterior mediastinal mass noted on imaging 3 years earlier. No history of autoimmune disease. Lost to follow up until presentation in emergency room. CT chest demonstrates 2.2 cm lung mass (SCC) and 11.5 cm anterior mediastinal mass.
