Case 1

22 F presents with signs and symptoms of myasthenia gravis. CT chest reveals a symmetric and normal-appearing thymus for age. One small area of low attenuation is noted. DD small thymoma vs normal gradual involution during aging.

Case 2

37 M recently diagnosed with ITP, undergoes splenectomy.  Persistent LUQ pain leads to CT chest: 3.8 cm anterior mediastinal mass.

73 M with prostate cancer. Surveillance CT scan reveals 5 cm soft tissue mass in anterior mediastinum.

Case 4

53 F smoker  with COPD and history of anterior mediastinal mass noted on imaging 3 years earlier. No history of autoimmune disease. Lost to follow up until presentation in emergency room. CT chest demonstrates 2.2 cm lung mass (SCC) and 11.5 cm anterior mediastinal mass.

Case 5

47 F with 1 year history of neck pain. No history of autoimmune disease.  CT scan shows 5.5 cm lesion in anterior mediastinum.
